Tonight there's a panel discussion at ArtCenter's L.A. Times Theatre entitled "After Materiality and Style" which features a couple of my former professors. The discussion is going to focus on self-reflexivity and medium-specificity within photographic practices in recent years.
These are definitely smart people who know who they're talking about so it should be a worthwhile investment of your time.
